Sycamore Ave
Our first franchise was opened in 2001 at 721 S. Sycamore Avenue in Sioux Falls. Interestingly, the first franchise owner backed out of our deal of her purchasing this location. People told her it was not a good investment. We agreed to let her manage this location for a year to show her that our business model would work and this location would be successful. After only a couple months of operating this location, she decided she would purchase our first franchise. Needless to say, our first franchise was more successful than anyone imagined. The first year of operation our sales projections were easily surpassed. The success of this location continues today. It provides over 30 part-time jobs and several full-time jobs. It has created the “neighborhood” feel of an ice cream store, not the big corporate image. As it should be, we are locally owned and operated. It is recognized as having a great product served by great people.
Work at B & G Milkyway
I LOVE B & G Milkyway. I’ve probably spent more money here vs. all the other restaurants in Sioux Falls combined. Such a fun place to stop in the summer when the ice cream monster attacks, and the only thing that’ll calm it is a large sundae, an Avalanche, a dipped cone, or something else. My wife and I have spent many date nights here. Awesome place!
Wife and kids love their tasty ice creams and options as well as their shakes or blast, I believe. Prices are within norms. If it didn’t taste as good as it does, I’d think it was an injustice, but it’s always nice to have a delicious treat for quality in reasonable pricing. Can’t wait to visit for kids and wife again.
B & G is a staple of Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. A family-owned establishment, I have been enjoying their summer treats since I was a kid. They gave a huge variety of ice cream treats and other food options. I am partial to their Avalanches. Think of them as better versions of Dairy Queen’s Blizzards. Awesome flavors, friendly service, and great prices. I look forward to every summer when they open back up for the season. Oh, and they do great things in the community too.
Amazing staff. Fast service. Wonderful food.
We stopped by this local spot on our move from Seattle to Chicago. For anyone in town, please stop by and support this DELICIOUS local business. My pro tip for you is to try a banana Avalanche with extra cherry cone dip blended into the drink!! You’ll never try anything else! Happy eating!!
Oh my gosh, I love their ice cream. So creamy and rich. It’s a drive-thru or a walk-up with some outside seating. It’s a seasonal business open spring and summer. I had a very delicious strawberry sundae with crushed nuts and whipped cream. Haven’t tried anything but the ice cream, but they have a varied menu with hamburgers, hot dogs, and other fast food.
